• _ga — distinguishes one browser from another. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_[ID] — maintains the analytics session. Expires after 2 years.

Microsoft Clarity

Records how pages are used, and builds heatmaps and session replays from it.

• _clck — persists a Clarity user ID. Expires after 1 year.
• _clsk — joins page views into one session. Expires after 1 day.
• CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, SM — set by Microsoft on its own domain.

WordPress

If you comment or log in, WordPress sets cookies to remember you. A reader who does neither gets none of them.

What we do not set

No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, no social media trackers. Our advertising is served from this site and counts impressions without identifying you.

Turning them off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on for Analytics. The site works normally without any of them.
